The hosts for the game Huddersfield will be quite happy with their start to the season, they currently have 9 points from their first 8 games and sit in 13th in the table. Manager Chris Powell has done a great job with Huddersfield and I must admit I’m a fan, the football he has his team playing is very attractive and they have been deadly in-front of goal, which is great. However, Powell will need to work with his team a little more in defence. They’ve struggled this season and looked very shaky at the back, in-fact looking at the previous fixtures this season it becomes clear that Huddersfield have not actually kept a clean sheet this season?! This is obviously their downfall and something that Powell will want to change.
They head into the game vs Forest on the back of 2 wins, they beat Charlton Athletic on Tuesday 15th September 2-1. They started the game really well and found themselves 2-0 up after just 34 minutes thanks to goals from Bunn and Huws. Bunn moved from Manchester City this season after a successful loan spell. The youngster is a great addition to the Terriers squad and will no doubt boost their chances this season. Huws, another Man City youth player has also started well having scored against Charlton and he also got 2 goals vs Bolton in the Terrier next fixture.
Huddersfield then went on to beat Bolton 4-1 at the John Smith’s Stadium, a great result for Powell and his men. This will have no doubt boosted confidence within the camp and they will head into tonight’s clash high on confidence and in the search for 3 points.
The visitors for the game are Nottingham Forest, another team who have started quite well this season. They currently sit in 12th place on 11 points, they’ve managed 3 wins this season so far which is great, however, they have shown signs of sloppiness though as they’ve conceded 8 goals from their first 8 games, also scoring 8. Forest head into tonight’s clash (24/09/2015) on the back of a narrow 2-1 defeat to Middlesbrough. Prior to that Forest had won 2 games in a row vs some tough teams in QPR and Birmingham.
Manager Dougie Freedman spoke to the media after their defeat vs Boro and said that his team played really well and praised the Boro keeper. The football that Forest have been playing has looked good and they seem to have goals in the team, the attacking mentality will always leave them open at the back.
I’ll be backing BTTS tonight at a price of 1.74 with 10BET. The reason being that both teams are playing very attacking football at the moment and I think there will be goals in tonight’s game.
